Wendy Penrose

I'm an award winning goldsmith. I specialise in bespoke engagement rings, wedding rings and nature inspired fine jewellery in recycled gold, platinum and ethically sourced gemstones. In addition to my ready to wear collections I design one of a kind pieces for my clients reflecting their individual style. I particularly enjoy working with people to remodel inherited jewels into something modern and wearable.

Wendy Newhofer

I make kilnformedglass glass by layering clear float glass with metal leaf, foil and wire. When the work is fired in the kiln there is a magical alchemy as the glass fuses to the metals to produce expressive glass pieces which have a unique painterly quality. Inspiration comes largely from the natural world and often incorporates pattern and repetition.

Sara Holmes

I’m Sara Holmes, a sculptor based in Pirbright, Surrey. As a self-taught, pioneer of willow as a sculptural medium, I have created work for public and private spaces. Nature, my collaborator, shapes my ideas, offering materials, and guiding each piece through raw and found forms. Throughout the year, students from around the world travel to join my small, immersive courses.

Rachel Higgins

I create figurative animal sculptures from non-ferrous metals and enamel, influenced by my natural history surroundings. I solder a wire framework and then layer the frame with perforated sheet metal and highlight with silver and enamel.

Lucy Smith

I make ceramic and bronze resin pieces for inside and out. I have exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show for many years and work with architects , designers and private garden owners to bring unique pieces to their designs and gardens. Nature has always been my deepest source of inspiration and I feel a profound connection to it.

James Ort

James Ort is an accomplished wildlife artist and international tutor, with a lifelong passion for animals and art. Inspired by his late grandfather, renowned Ladybird Children’s Book illustrator Brian Price Thomas, James has channelled his love of wildlife into sculpture and ceramics.In addition to his work as an artist, James has managed the Phoenix Studio for 16 years.
