What is the Henley Arts Trail?

The Henley Arts Trail is what you are looking for : a vibrant, inspirational and inclusive celebration of art & creativity.  Mark your calendar : 2nd to 4th May 2026

 

Founded in 2006, The Henley Arts Trail is celebrating its 20th year. The trail was set up to showcase the amazing talent in the area. It's gone from strength to strength and now shows the work of over 300 creatives in 36 venues

Free To Enter

Our venues are free to enter so you can visit as many as you like to view the varied and beautiful work.

The only exception is the National Trust's Greys Court venue 20 where entrance fees apply for non members.

 

A Great Day Out

Whether you are an art enthusiast, or just curious, you'll have a wonderful time discovering the fascinating variety of venues that serve as a canvas for the creations of 300 artists.

This year you can even take a cruise down the Thames from central Henley to our new riverfront Venue 16 at Greenlands. For more information click here

Beautiful Settings

Follow the map to discover hidden treasures and stop for refreshments along the way in beautiful settings many of which are not usually open to the public.

 

The 36 venues are so varied and characterful. From artists' studios & village halls to an award winning s riverside stately home,  vineyards, a distillery and the world famous Leander Club right next to the bridge in Henley.

Meet The Artists

We have creatives at every stage of their careers showing their work - from established professionals, with years of experience, to newcomers showing their work for the first time. 

​

 Discover the inspiration behind their work, the techniques used and buy direct from the makers. From paintings, prints and photography to sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles and everything in between!

See Demonstrations

Many venues feature artists demonstrating their craft. You can discover the techniques, tools and processes involved. If you want to have a go yourself many creatives offer courses that you can book as a follow up after the trail

Delicious Refreshments

Part of what makes the trail such a great day out is having refreshments in beautiful settings with picturesque riverside views, or in stunning gardens. The perfect backdrop for savouring a delicious slice of cake while taking it all in
