Glass

Wendy Newhofer

Venue 23

I make kilnformedglass glass by layering clear float glass with metal leaf, foil and wire. When the work is fired in the kiln there is a magical alchemy as the glass fuses to the metals to produce expressive glass pieces which have a unique painterly quality. Inspiration comes largely from the natural world and often incorporates pattern and repetition.

Tierney Bishop

Venue 34

My name is Tierney and I am a 26 year old glass artist. I also happen to be autistic which for me means that I see the world a bit differently.

I have been fusing glass for over 10 years and for HAT I am concentrating on colourful pieces for the garden which are inspired by nature.

Sarah Harris

Venue 10

I love to share the joy that colour brings to my life and this is reflected in my creations. Self taught, head bursting with ideas, the slight element of danger, not knowing sometimes when I start a piece where it will end adds an extra fizz. Using Tiffany or Mosaic techniques to combine Stained Glass, beads, & tiles.

Sam Burke

Venue 8

I create contemporary kiln formed glass art; focusing on colours & textures, often evoking fond memories of places or times & always inspired by my fascination with the natural world.

Manuela Kagerbauer

Venue 30

Manuela Kagerbauer creates visually stimulating, immersive installations and objects using mixed media. With a focus on technical materials she often incorporates glass and metal. Intrigued by the mouldability of metal and the fragility of glass. Manuela enjoys exploring the possibilities of both materials, pushing the boundaries of what is technically achievable.

Karen Musgrave Hill

Contemporary glass artist and award-winning botanical artist. RHS Gold Medal for Chrysanthemum Flowerheads in pen & Ink 2015. Glasswork uses my catalogue of drawings/paintings to produce unique glass pieces brought to life through intricate layered decoupage, reverse glass painting and gilding with gold and other leaf, and verre eglomisé. Every glass piece designed is unique.

Jill Chadwick

Venue 28

My passion for glass and colour started over 30 years ago and my work is continually evolving. My art is a representation of what I see in my mind rather than an exact image of what is in front of me and I love to explore the endless possibilities of working in glass. Happy to take commissions.

Jenny Hoole

Venue 16

I make modern fused glass for the home and glass jewellery. My inspiration comes from vibrant colours, textures and patterns which combine to make contemporary, bright glassware. Living in the Chilterns influences the enamel painted panels and bowls, drawing from the local landscape, translating the ideas into abstract pieces. Member of the Buckinghamshire Craft guild and Contemporary Glass Society

Helena Ross

Venue 16

work with fused glass, designing flowing “colourwaves” from fine strands of coloured glass carefully placed side by side.
My work explores how colours shift, interact, and reveal subtle gradations in each creation.
From a distance, bold colours draw the eye; up close, gentle variations and unexpected highlight colours emerge, giving every creation a distinctive presence in any interior space.

Fatmagul Aaltonen

Venue 19

My glass is based on texture and definition with many overlapping layers filled with small glass particles. I prefer to work with transparent glass, which sparkles with light; either on a windowsill reflecting the daylight or on a mental piece twinkling with candlelight. Main influences are the Chilterns where I live and the Mediterranean sea, where I come from.

Ewa Wawrzyniak

Venue 16

Ewa creates sculptural glass works using kiln‑formed and sand‑cast techniques, blending precision with organic form. Her practice is shaped by the contours of landscape and the structure of architecture, allowing her to explore how natural and built environments interact. Through this fusion of method and inspiration, she produces pieces that evoke depth, balance, and a strong sense of place.

Cathy O’Doherty

Venue 15

Working with & teaching glass fusing techniques for the last 20+ years. I get inspiration from lots of sources, & particularly like words & humour. I don't take myself too seriously & want all to find the fun in my work. I make wall art, dishes, cheeseboards & also produce customised sports prizes (mainly coasters).

Becky Paton

Venue 19

I create large mosaics for the home, small mosaics for the garden and smaller mosaics to wear.
