Whistley Arts at Dolphin School

This new venue for 2025 features the exciting work of four distinct but complementary artists. Tom Cartmill is recognised for his sculptural drawings and mixed media work. Manuela Kagerbauer explores visual illusions in glass, metal and paint. Sayani Drury paints florals in the style of the Dutch Masters and Liz Chaderton celebrates the natural work through expressive watercolours.

Meet The Artists

Liz Chaderton

We often take the beauty of the animal kingdom for granted and our sense of wonder dims a little. I paint to capture a moment of awe and bring it to you in a joyful watercolour. My art reminds you to appreciate life no matter how busy your day gets.

Manuela Kagerbauer

Manuela’s work is inspired by the early symptoms of Macular Degeneration. People with this sight deficiency can experience warped lines and movement. The outcomes are fully immersive installations made from metal and glass.

Tom Cartmill

Meticulously worked and textured abstract drawings and mixed media pieces, exploring the relationships between matter, space, and repetition. In 2024, in recognition of my drawing, I was awarded the Purcell Paper Prize at the Royal Scottish Academy.

Sayani Drury

Sayani’s passion for nature, and especially the roses in her studio garden, draws her to an artistic life as a floral portrait artist. She never wants her paintings to look like a photograph but rather an ethereal version of the subject into which the viewer can become submerged in the beauty and delicacy of the moment.
