With an interest in both ceramics and glass, I am constantly reminded how experience with one feeds the other. Each medium brings its own strength. In ceramics, I chiefly use sculptural, throwing, and slip-casting techniques to create a diverse range of work, inspired particularly by animals and conservation art. I also love to explore the fiery experimentation and lovely surprises to be had with Raku. With glass I am exploring the wonders of heat work, through casting and fused glass. Of particular interest is the ancient process of Pate de Verre to make vessels out of grains of glass.
