Shirley Smith

My passion for scuba-diving inspires me to develop new marine-themed ceramics. My next project is a 1.2m high totem celebrating colourful tropical reef fish. Birds feature in my current work too, namely totem stacks of 8 or 9 British garden birds.

My functional forms tend to be hand-built either with specialist clays and artisanal glazes or incorporating life-like animal sculptures.
