Working alongside tree surgeons in my local area, wood from diseased, damaged or broken trees is air dried for a number of years.
Following this process, I then start to carve using chainsaws, angle grinders, die grinders and mini versions of these, before a meticulous hand sanding process begins resulting in a smooth, at times buttery, finish to all of my pieces.
My inspiration comes from my travels around the world, mother nature and the
wonderful English countryside that provides the amazing locally grown materials for my art.
