Kevin Akhurst

I make functional and decorative ceramics in my studio near Newbury. I often make full-bodied vessels with tactile glazes that reward being touched and held. My surfaces are often subtle and complex, giving up their secrets over extended and repeated viewing. I like dynamic marks made by pouring glaze or allowing it to run. This year I have been making more pots for daily use - mugs and bowls.
