Kate Findlay

Inspired by the British countryside, I work exclusively in fabric to create scenes of gardens, landscapes and wildlife. I dye my fabric, creating interesting marks and accidental textures before cutting and collaging my compositions, using many layers. The work is finished using free motion machine stitching to create intricate detail and more texture.
