Jacky Hawthorne

The inspiration for my paintings comes from two sources, my training in ceramics and career as garden designer.

The flowers and pots are composed using traditional mathematical approaches to the designs, and combine formality and informality. The paintings are only finished when the balance of these two aspects are achieved and the colours fuse into a harmonious whole.
