Beverley Matchette Downes

Recent work has been dominated by her passion for trees. Her work, although essentially figurative, she abstracts, to create visual interest and make her own. She uses many printmaking techniques but latterly has been doing a lot of waterless lithography using multiple plates to enable a layered use of colour, these are often inked many times, resulting in a richly textured print.
