Tom Cartmill

Meticulously worked and textured abstract drawings and mixed media pieces, exploring the relationships between matter, space, and repetition. My 3d sculptural drawings with their layered, fragmented and eroded surfaces, can be seen to evoke the ephemeral nature of existence. In 2024, in recognition of my drawing, I was awarded the Purcell Paper Prize at the Royal Scottish Academy.
