Caroline Bettaney

Multi-media artist working with découpage, photography and printmaking. Following a fulfilling career as music and editorial photographer, Bettaney has carved out space for a more personal practice in amongst life with her husband, three children, two dogs and last but not least, her horse.
Her instinct for capturing the moment gives even pictures that are painstakingly composed a wonderful spontaneity.
In her 3D pieces, a collection of back stage passes from her former life are given new meaning as they become the skin for a series of sculptural figures or forms, with skulls a recurring motif both in this work and an ongoing series of vibrant pop-art prints.
